Sea Kayak Surfing - Isle of Man

Some pics from sea kayak surfing at Port Erin Beach, on West coast of the Isle of Man yesterday, Peel was a little too lively for the session we had in mind... Got a text from David saying the surf at Port Erin beach were clean slow breaks : )

The waves were indeed ideal, from small at one side of the bay, increasing in side and volume the further you got from the harbour.

By the Intermediate session in the afternoon, students and coaches were trying all sorts, including vertical and aerial manoeuvres...

Keirron and Sam attempted some double action with mixed results : )

An excellent session in bright sunshine, well done everyone on their determination!

ps. me and George returned with the sea kayak fleet in prime condition after servicing them at the SKUK factory in N Wales last week. Thanks a million to George, Phil, Scot and all the lads who made it a success.

Hiya! Just thought I'd mail you to letyou know how much I enjoyed our kayaking session today, in fact I could havestayed out for another 2 hours. I'm not know for my love of surf buttoday it FINALLY felt like a few of the pieces of the surfing jigsaw cametogether!

This morning's Sea Kayaking ran from Port Erin Beach, with a full group, breaking into 'Beginners' and 'Improvers', we headed for the Sound...

on the way back, Mark stopped for a chat from the helm of PSM Lifeboat.

The Afternoon's Intermediate Sea Kayak skills session paddled to South Harbour.

The seals surfed with us through the sets! Taking of pics was less of priority once out in the delightful conditions, with sporadic haystacks and all sorts of joy!

A superb day on the water!

Caught a cracking sunrise at the Tower of Refuge, in Douglas bay this morning...

...and as the sun rose from the Irish sea, the Ben My Chree sailed out of the harbour, perfect.

The footage from today was really good, well worth the time and a soaking! : )

This afternoon we paddled to the Calf of Man from Port Erin Bay.

and the seals were in a very playful mood, nuzzling the kayaks, pushing them round...

Can't wait for tomorrow and Sunday's sessions!!!

Llangness Sunday Kayaking

It was a busy day on the water, with a full group out this morning, setting off from Fort Island, Llangness on the South East Coast of the Isle of Man.

Sheltered from the predominantly Westerlie wind, it was actually quite warm, and the rock hopping possibilities were endless! We split into four smaller training pods, and headed down the peninsular.

It was great to have less wind around, and some sun to give an increased shine to the paddle!

Headed back to Fort Island for lunch, and prepare for the Intermediate session.

A slightly faster pace, with the objective of getting involved in the tidal race off the end of Llangness, running a manageable wind against tide. Some nice rolls and plenty of smiles, with a few wobbly moments... brilliant!

Next weekend looks set to be a beauty!

Youth Scholarship TR. 34

The team completed a full day of navigation training on Tuesday, to blow the cobwebs away from the Christmas hols, and allow for missing a couple a sessions during their exams beginning this week.

As it starts to get light for longer again, the training sessions will become more challenging, building up to their on-island practice expedition at Easter.

Coach Development

Had a couple of training sessions in the rough stuff this week, may be a few pics on the way soon.

As always, its a fine juggling act to coach and capture the moments, whilst on the water.

A stunning deep crimson sunset this evening rounded off another terrific day on the Isle of Man!

New Year's Day - sea kayaking

Paddling from Laxey again today, operating in two groups. I took the easy paddle, with lots of birds and marine-life, and even the odd rainbow on the way back...

...the small colony of seals played around the kayaks, giving close encounters with wildlife.

George led the other group who enjoyed a challenging paddle, saw all manner of things...

and enjoyed landing back in again through some sizeable dumping surf!

A highly enjoyable day for all, can't wait for next week with more seals and rock hopping in store.

Kim's victory in Slalom

Kim Tastagh, our trainee coach at Adventurous Experiences, won the junior title of the Isle of Man annual slalom competition on the River Neb yesterday, organised by Steve Watt of Manx Paddlesports. Kim just missed pole position in the combined classes, taking joint 2nd place overall.
Congratulations also to Becca and Rach whose team's achieved 1st and 3rd place respectively.

This Christmas has been an excellent mix of action and socialising, which continues through to the New Year. Cammag on Boxing Day (link to info from a Northern perspective :) was eventful as always, The South winning 5 'goals' to nil! Kim picked up the trophy and man of the match! A family gathering yesterday with relatives from New Zealand, Gorge Scrambling today, a full day Sea Kayak Trip tomorrow making use of the lull in the gales : )

Winter wonderings...

After a few days of interesting climbing in Coire an Lochain, increased snowfall and a change in wind direction loaded the gullies and made the busier Coire an t-Sneachda a more attractive prospect.

The business of ascending winter routes does not lend itself to taking many pics, so a few from the walk in and from the Fiacaill Ridge, a delightful scramble!

The week has been an interesting one, with some very breezy conditions on the Isle of Man.

Had a great day on the water at Port St Mary today, with residual swell from the Gales...

Finishing as dusk reduced visibility and the sound of Christmas carols greeted us over the water from Port St Mary Lifeboat Christmas Carol Service.

Theia was much more keen on the foam pile in the bath : )

Took Theia down to watch the sunrise at Derbyhaven, and begin another memorable day.

Given the Gale force winds, we had planned for skills sessions in the short plastic kayaks, utilising the natural resources on hand...

Hours of adrenaline racing fun in the surf at Peel, literally till the sun set...

Its great to try different movement patterns on the wave, especially if there are a couple of you on the wave.

Looking at the forecast, looks like the same again for next Sunday! : )

I've been using every opportunity to capture the moment and work on my personal development - coaching, with a paddle, and with a camera!

We've got the Aleutian's 2012 Expedition looming, and I know there may only be brief opportunities during the journey to record 'once in a lifetime' moments, so getting plenty of practice now...

As our list of kit sponsors steadily increases, so does the demand to deliver what I know we are capable of, given a certain amount of luck with the weather : )

The last indoor pool session of the November 'Discover Sea Kayaking' course took place last night.

It gives excellent opportunities for clear feedback, from both peers and coaches, in a warm environment. It also promotes development of intrinsic feedback, a coaching tool often used in the Adventure Club.

"After a few weeks off the water, it was good to get askills session in. Kneeling in a sea kayak the wrong way round and staying theright way up was a personal highlight! The open boating sessions must have donesome good! Looking forward to next week!"

variable practice at Peel

Sunday's sea kayaking from Peel, Fenella Beach, around the Castle and heading North, sheltered form the light Southerly breeze, and using the 'rock gardens' to create variable practice on a trip for the beginners.

A beautiful November day on the water, journeying towards the White Strand beach, we were overtaken by the Improver group, who had been practising wet skills along the way...

Everyone landed, and out came a fine assortment of cakes and Katia's legendary flapjack : )

Arriving back at Fenella Beach later, there was just time to swap kayaks over and quick toasty from the kiosk before heading back out with the afternoon Intermediate group.

Working on power delivery, 'feel' and intrinsic feedback with visual self checks, I took not photo's in the afternoon...

but here is a few images from Robert the Bruce's chapel on our last day in Scotland

I was invited to Skye to observe Doug coaching sea kayaking, after getting his ideas on coaching & leadership for my project. Sam and George came up with me for some paddling.

We just happened to hit three days of absolute bliss on Skye which i'm told was extremely lucky : )

I'm not entirely sure Doug hadn't figured a way of making that happen as well...

It was fantastic to watch Doug at work, and share so many of his thoughts as he went along. The Isle of Skye is a stunning place, and to catch it in such a relaxed mood in November was nothing short of exceptional. As was the information I was trying frantically to note down!

Its now reflection time to process the ideas and organise them in a way which I can draw on them for future use. Can't wait to develop these into delivery back on the Isle of Man.

Doug found time to observe me working with Sam and George, whilst we explored another section of spectacular coastline, near the northern tip of Skye.

Plenty for everyone to reflect upon...

We took a day off the water for some rambling in the nearby crags and Cullin Hills.

Breathtaking pics to follow, and food for further reflection as we took the ferry back to Mallaig!

Chris joined the Adventure Club with one big long term goal; Paddle from the Isle of Man to Monaco

Initially, the key strategy to Chris's plan was his immense drive. Over time we developed a training program, with periodic goals and strength and conditioning, to enhance his strategy.

Being part of the Adventure Club is a far reaching lifestyle choice; whether gazing up from sea level or looking down from the top of a crag it will give you a new perspective on life.

Coast to Coast

"On Saturday 27^th AugustI set out to discover how my training was progressing and took my sea kayak toLiverpool and started paddling…

…after 33 kilometres (approx 20 miles)in just over 5 hours (at Easter the same distance took 8 hours)…

… I was once very worried as a bargewas sailing along bank to bank with music blasting out and a dozen drunkenladies partying away fortunately they were on the opposite bank when we passed.I travelled about 30 miles in 7.5 hours. Also I started my first blisters on myright hand…"

…Day 4 saw me start having taped up myblisters with blister plasters and duck tape … I reached the Foulridge Tunnel1,840 yards long , I think I reached my top speed going through the tunneltaking only 10 minutes to clear it… I passed through some beautiful countrysideand as the evening came the rain stopped and left a lovely evening…

…One of the hazards of canals forkayaks are swing bridges… by the end of today I was able to judge the heightand glide under without stopping watching the iron beans pass my facewith fractions to spare, but on a couple of occasions my buoyancy aid would notfit and I had to abandon the glide and get out and carry the kayak…

FINISHED, At lunchtime on day 7 I paddled throughGoole at the Humber Estuary, that means I have paddled from the Mersey Estuaryto the Humber, over 160 miles coast to coast. This has been a personal victoryfor me following the Devizes to Westminster race at Easter and I believe that Ihave proved to myself that the “Man to Monaco” project next summer is more thana pipe dream, I now know that I can achieve it.

Sunrise on the East Coast of the Isle of Man

Sunday's Sea Kayaking was from Port St Mary Breakwater, with many of the Adventure Club regulars out to take advantage of the November sun! Guessing it would be just hitting the level where it illuminates the sea caves like torchlight, I had the trusty Canon at the ready : )

Thanks for another lovely paddle today,it was such agreat day to be at sea and my 3 successful rolls made my day :-) Rach x

The Improver's paddle was truly spectacular, landing at South Harbour for a break, where a fat seal pup was lolling about in the rocks...

Intermediate sea kayak trip to Chicken Rock, passing a small pod of harbour porpoise just before we reached the impressive lighthouse. Kim had also caught some underwater Seal action...

Looking forward to more winter paddles...

We ran the lower section of the River Neb, on the West of the Isle of Man this morning, with a group of Adventure Club members.

The manageable levels made for everyone getting plenty of learning from the experience, and feeling confident to try all sorts of antics at the weirs and drops along the way.

Finishing the journey at Peel, where the Adventurous Experiences Truck was waiting to take us back to base.

Sea Kayak fun!
Heading to Peel for with Alice and Aoibhinn this afternoon, the strong Southerlie wind had produced relatively flat conditions inshore, with some sizeable swell and clean building surf at Fenella Beach,... Quickly grabbing a Romany sea kayak and my kit I joyfully trotted down to the beach, leaving the girls with the camera.

A short time later I had just taken a fine hammering, and was swimming back to the shore.... : )
Its not often I get to send a text like this;
"Took a Romany out to do some looping, got my arse tanned by the first wave! Full aerial loop 2nd wave, worth the initial hammering"

The intermittent swell was building quite steep sizeable waves, and I encountered a memorable one just where I didn't want to, and it selected me! Luckily, there was a nice collection of folk (including Stuart & son) observing my bedraggled state emptying the boat and clambering hastily back in. As the conditions were ideal for antics, I headed back out, in a better state of readiness.

Timing the next monster to perfection, the kayak shot vertically down the wave face, the bow driving deep into the trough, then as the crest picked the stern up, the bow recovered then thrust forward and upwards and the kayak performed a full aerial loop! I felt the air accelerating past my face for what seemed a very long time... and then the stern touched down, and I was back on the wave heading for the sand...

Alice and Aoibhinn were that busy jiggling up and down and shrieking, that the camera had been forgotten, so neither my education by the 1st wave or exhilaration on the 2nd wave were recorded...A few more delightful forward loops followed on more comfortable waves (still holding some adrenaline pumping power) then after the deck imploded on another white experience, I nursed the swamped sea kayak back to the shore and called it a day : )

Although its a Thursday, I definitely felt that Friday feeling early this morning, as the perfect sunrise unravelled in front of my eyes... making do with the tiny Canon powershot SX220 I had with me, it was still a pleasure to behold.

The week was truly eventful, an included our annual Approved Centre BCU Inspection, where we received outstanding feedback.

Discover Sea Kayaking (winter pool course)

This week has been a pleasant array of coaching opportunities... Coach Development on Monday evening, Tuesday was the first session of the October 'Discover Sea Kayaking' course, which has the first 4 of 6 sessions in the indoor pool. We also run rolling clinics for Adventure Club members on the same session.

Saturday began with an early foray out amongst the rock pools on the East Coast, capturing the faint glow of the new sun, obscured behind the rolling banks of sea mist...

As the day progressed, Manannan's cloak settled further over the Island and the wind retained its absence.

IoM Symposium - Final Day

For the last day of the symposium, we had increased understanding, awareness and performance in moving water... it was now time to push comfort levels a little more, and deliver the final piece of the plan!

A circumnavigation of the Calf of Man on ebb maximum spring tides, with a Southerly wind...

Unfortunately, the taking of pics was not possible when dropping through the 'Drinking Dragon'...
Split into small pods, providing a combination of unrivalled leadership experience, pushing personal limits, and an unforgettable adventure, we could not have asked for more perfect conditions!

Finishing in the Sound again, using the Races either side of the 'pepperpot' to practise balence and wave selection, it was a tremendous way to finish the week!

And then as we have the weekly outdoor circuit training running in the evening as usual, we invited the group to join in. The ladies only accepted the offer, and joined or regulars for the 1hr session.

Symposium wk - Day 3

On Wednesday we put in at the Sound, right on the South tip of the Isle of Man, well known for its tidal currents and overfalls, and associated conditions..

The area around the 'Sound', Kitterland and the whole Calf of Man is home to a large seal population, with various colonies and charismatic individuals : )

As its also pupping time, we had to keep a sharp look out for fluffy white bundles on beaches, before landing on them for lunch or a break. I've observed 3 pups probably less than a week old, and i'm sure there are others well hidden from view.

When not sitting in the eddy with juvenile seals nibbling the kayak toggles or nuzzling the deck, the overfall nearby provided some excitement and occasional airborne experience!

And of course its always nice to finish on a high!

Using the sea kayaker's paradise of'rock gardens', caves and interesting swell, to work on personal skills and manoeuvring, the location providing the fun learning experience!

The Isle of Man Sea Kayak Symposium runs for a whole week annually at the end of September, timed for large spring tides and the warmest sea temperatures...

Following the International Training Weekend, the training week provides further structured coaching, utilising our stunning coastlines and spectrum of tidal features.

Day 1 - Port St Mary to Chicken Rock

Finishing late in the day back at Port St Mary slipway, I captured the last group passing the slabs...

Back to Ballabrooie, wash and hang up kit, then bus everyone over to the Glen Helen Inn, where they were staying for the week.

International Training Weekend

The International Training Weekend, part of the Isle of Man Sea Kayak Symposium Week, saw 56 paddlers each day ranging from Improver to Advanced, enjoying the spectacular weather (thanks Will for the group pic)

With guest coaches and students from the U.S. Finland, Estonia, Netherlands and all over the UK (as well as local kayakers from the Island) it was a truly International Event!

I want to thank you so much for the opportunity to take part in this year’s exhilarating Isle of Man Sea Kayak Symposium. Exhilarating may have been somewhat to do with the challenging weather conditions, but it would certainly not have been possible for me to tackle these conditions without the expertise of the coaches, both from home and abroad. Surfing on Saturday was awesome and took me well beyond my usual comfort zone! Sunday weather conditions made it challenging enough just getting to the Sound but tackling the tidal race pushed personal boundaries for me – a truly incredible experience!

The weekend has been an inspiration and it was a pleasure to meet fellow kayakers from all over the world and have the opportunity to exchange stories and ideas for future trips. Please extend my gratitude and thanks to the coaches, both from overseas and Adventurous Experiences staff and to the visitors, who made the special journey to join us and I hope to have the pleasure of kayaking with again at some future event.

Evening at Bar George

Adventurous Experiences hosted our 'Evening at Bar George' on Thursday, and what a delightful evening it was!

The main theme of the evening was the Isle of Man Adventure Race

Champagne on arrival, a brief introduction and then two short video's set the scene;

The first included footage of adventurous experiences with us by our invited guests, sharing those experiences with everyone present.

Hot buffet and time for drinks and chat made the evening exceptionally informative and pleasantly relaxed.

Many thanks to everyone for supporting it. Well done to the photo competition winners who received their prize vouchers as well, it really captured the atmosphere!

We have already 15 teams pre-registered, and we anticipate the 2012 event filling before the team entry closing date, 31st March.

Sunday Sea Kayaking from Port St Mary

Two terrific Sea Kayak trips on South Coast of the Isle of Man. Exploring the Chasms area at sea level, including the Sugarloaf Caves.
The Intermediates dropped down to the Sound main tidal Race for fun and frolics, and the occasional swim!
A vibrant training session, culminating in catching a passing eye at Dougie and Squib climbing the wall adjacent to Sugarloaf Stack on our return to Port St Mary. An amazing route!

There's always too much to do on the Island, we're spoilt for choice : )

Sunday's Sea Kayak Training

The morning session split into pods of two's and three's - each led by an experienced coach, with additional coaches to give an even lower ratio, beginning the training season (Sept to May) when many of our new and existing Adventure Club members get on the water as much as possible.

Given the adverse weather forecast, we selected a venue with would allow a calm, sheltered introduction, with the ability for progression into challenging waters for those who wished : )
The Improver's groups used the conditions well, and I can see we're going to have a strong group going into winter.

As the white stuff increased nicely for the Intermediate session, we practised incident scenarios in realistic situations. Positioning, rescues, various strategies for towing and rough water landing...

The day certainly made you feel alive, and even had the occasional wildlife encounter with inquisitive seals and a carefree juvenile Shag.

Corporate Team Building Day

After a familiarisation exercise in the lecture room, the team kitted up for the main activity of the morning... a Coasteering exploration!
A dynamic team building activity, which certainly got the new recruits working closely and understanding each others strengths and areas where assistance was beneficial.

Then back to Ballabrooie for the team debrief over three course organic, home-baked lunch.

This was followed by some strategic exercises in the grounds of the estate, where some sumptious apples can also be found : )

The final exercise seemed to require a lot of thinking about... and certainly had some interesting results!

A fantastic Friday - great to meet you all, and best of luck with the next few weeks of training.

Coasteering Stag Parties

The first Coasteering session on Saturday was a Stag party. They certainly wanted the exciting end of the scale... and the sea gave us give what was required! A brilliant, physically challenging route, with plenty of wave action, despite the adverse forecast.

the local Rugby Team experienced Coasteering...
...in the afternoon, again for a Stag Party! With a huge store of new 5mm steamer wetsuits, with sizes ranging from small child to largest proportions, modern buoyancy aids and helmets, we were confident we'd have everyone in warm dry gear, fitted to them, on the second Coasteering session of the day.

It was a relief however, when the 20th prop-forward passed through the drying room and kit store that afternoon, and collecting their kit, as there didn't seem to be any 'wingers' or scrum halves in sight!

Running groups of this size requires a different strategy to smaller groups, ensuring safety whilst maximising the experience and dynamics a larger group brings. A bouncy sea, and their mature attitude to this phenomenal team building activity ensured a second really enjoyable session.

September Evening Paddle

Seals frolic on sunset evening paddle

Last night's Evening Sea Kayak Trip, setting off beneath Peel Castle, was an absolute stunner!

What made this beautiful evening paddle so special was that the seals put on a constant display for us.

A family occasion, with everyone having done some kayaking previously, at some point...

...a fair few have been on Isle of Man Youth Expeditions to various locations : )

For the entire journey we had a couple of seals playing with the kayaks, gnawing on the stern toggles, swimming on their backs beside and under the kayaks, jetting along in the clear waters beneath, making the whole experience constantly exciting!

The Quayle's have brought luck and merriment to every trip and expedition i've had the good fortune and pleasure to also be part of.

Double open crossing

I woke the girls at 3:45am in the morning.

We had loaded the Mighty Triton's on the trailer last night, after Coach development at Peel.
Katia and Alice had been baking flapjacks (Katia's our regular supplier for the Adventure Club sessions) as well as preparing pasta for the journey...

Setting off with the last couple of hours off the ebb, maximum spring tides (8m range on the Isle of Man).
A small amount of surf at the Point of Ayre, darkness and bouncy conditions for the first hour soon gave way soft grey colours and the F2-3 headwind and conditions lessened throughout the next 10 miles.

Our team of Alice and myself, Katia and George averaged 5mph (including breaks) and the Isle of Man grew steadily smaller and less detailed behind us. We met a seal right in the middle, just there by himself.

The last hour was particularly tough against strong tide, and the light headwind kept us cool. Progress at this point was painfully slow, but our target slowly grew in detail.

Arriving at the Isle of Whithorn, a fishing village in Scotland at 10:30am, the 20 mile crossing had taken 4 and half hours, and the girls were ready for a break. (Me and George were ready for a banquet!) : )

Having changed into dry clothes, strewn gear out on the rocky beach to dry, we were heaping pasta and water into ourselves, and then took a stroll round the harbour to the Steam Packet Inn where we enjoyed an energy providing ice-cream. It was then back to the kayaks, setting off again at 12:30.

We took some stunning footage along the way, stopping for a break every hour, and taking on some water which had constantly been flowing out of us every paddle stroke : )

Saw 4 small pods of Porpoise, over the duration of the crossing, the first of them close enough to capture on the video, the last pod just of the Isle of Man, welcoming us home...

As always, we enjoyed some strenuous kayaking pushing our physical strength for the last hour and 40 minutes. The return route took us much wider, finally heading to the beach some miles South of the Point.

Quick break, then paddled back up to the truck and trailer, with a welcome from Alice's family, with flasks of tea. A superb and strenuous day!! We had paddled over 42 miles, the return trip taking 4 hours and 40 mins.

Very impressed with the girls (aged 12 & 15) - that was a mighty undertaking!

Basking Shark off Peel...

We sea kayaked from Laxey Beach on Sunday, leaving the West coast for a couple of days...

sheltered from the NW wind and some ideal rock hopping opportunities. Pasties are pretty tasty at lunch time too! Cloud formations on the East Coast are very photogenic, an ideal backdrop to the rocky coves.

we used one of our sheltered Coasteering routes as well yesterday...

... getting a different perspective of the Isle of Man! Good to see things from different angles.

The folks loved it, and were asking about ages for family groups - our Coasteering sessions are tailored to the group's ability and desire : ) Our 'Caves n' Coast' family sessions have been very popular this summer. The sea is at 15 degrees at present, and holds its temperature well into autumn...

We took Katia and Alice out with us in the 'Mighty Triton' double kayaks this afternoon, round the Calf of Man, so many seals about at the moment.... finding a few waves to play in along the way. A few shrieks were emitted, and then "can we do it again"?!!

Got back in time for Outdoor Circuit Training at Ballabrooie - running Thursday evenings at 6:30pm every week : ) The girls joined in with the session, and will be regularly attending form now on...

Caves 'n' Coast - exploration

In a small cave, not far from Peel, a group of strangely-clad fellows sat grinning at one another...

... a mixture of exhilaration and trepidation showing on their faces, lit up by the golden evening light...

...having swam, crawled, climbed and whooped their way along a series of caves, inlets and deep-water bouldering routes, and rocky coast, they were ready to head contented in the general direction of the bar...

Port Erin Raft Races

Sunday morning paddles from Port Erin - the training groups split into those heading for the Calf of Man, the beginners groups staying in the shelter of the bay, and immediate coastline...

Gradually increasing the challenge and skill level to match the conditions on the day, bright sun and a light on-shore wind. The beauty of having kayaks to fit the paddlers, and hull designs to allow them to learn and feel their own development, still fills me with joy every time we introduce students to sea kayaking : )

Finishing back at the beach in time for a relaxed coffee at the cosy nook, overlooking the beach. The Improver group arrived back having had an exciting journey and plenty of seals at the sound!

The afternoons 'Try Sea Kayaking' sessions raised another £30 for the RNLI.
Myself and Sam also joined the Port Erin Coastguard team to win the beach tug of war between kayaking sessions... aided by inspiring yells from Jan!

The Adventure Club Intermediates headed out round the Calf to play in the tidal races, and experience a rigorous paddle in bouncy waters. All back with the sun still shining and the raft races completed.

A great day on the water, and a brilliant culmination to the weekend of fun!

Sunny weekend for Southerners - visiting the Isle of Man

an adrenaline pumping Coasteering route in the morning...

...or the choice of a sea kayak trip heading North towards the campsite they are staying at : )

Then it was a hasty back to base to wash kit, and then back into Peel for the afternoon competition!

An exceptional day both on and off the water, really good to catch up with everyone around Peel : )
