International Training Weekend

The International Training Weekend, part of the Isle of Man Sea Kayak Symposium Week, saw 56 paddlers each day ranging from Improver to Advanced, enjoying the spectacular weather (thanks Will for the group pic)
With guest coaches and students from the U.S. Finland, Estonia, Netherlands and all over the UK (as well as local kayakers from the Island) it was a truly International Event!
Keirron,
I wanted to say thanks for a fantastic weekend! I learnt loads, great advise from your visiting coaches and had a really great time putting in into practice. The surfing on Saturday was absolutely awesome! Hope we can do more of that again soon. Please thank everyone involved - all your staff, visiting coaches, and visitors too. A memorable weekend.
Mike
 Dear Keirron
I want to thank you so much for the opportunity to take part in this year’s exhilarating Isle of Man Sea Kayak Symposium.  Exhilarating may have been somewhat to do with the challenging weather conditions, but it would certainly not have been possible for me to tackle these conditions without the expertise of the coaches, both from home and abroad.  Surfing on Saturday was awesome and took me well beyond my usual comfort zone!  Sunday weather conditions made it challenging enough just getting to the Sound but tackling the tidal race pushed personal boundaries for me – a truly incredible experience!

The weekend has been an inspiration and it was a pleasure to meet fellow kayakers from all over the world and have the opportunity to exchange stories and ideas for future trips.  Please extend my gratitude and thanks to the coaches, both from overseas and Adventurous Experiences staff and to the visitors, who made the special journey to join us and I hope to have the pleasure of kayaking with again at some future event.

Learnt lots and still have lots to learn! J

Many, many thanks
Tove

Dates for next year

22nd & 23rd September 2012 - International Training Weekend
