bio-luminescence

Wednesday Afternoon Paddle

The Wednesday afternoon sea kayak trip ran from Laxey Beach on the east coast of the Isle of Man...
 ....in benign conditions!
Wild Goats, a Porpoise, stunning scenery and a fun paddle : ) Welcome to the Adventure Club!

Night Paddle from Queens

Last night's evening paddle ran from Douglas Prom, opposite the Queens Hotel.
We headed out round Onchan Head, through the most spectacular bio-luminescence.
Vivid green streaks, showers of sparks, and the incredible wow factor it produced in the group : )
Then back across the bay, to land on the Tower of Refuge, and enjoy some scrumptious treats!
The bay itself produced great colours, the bow wake cutting through liquid gold... this has gone down as one of our most awesome night paddles yet!!! Photo's will never do justice to what the naked eye can see.
A very mild evening, great company and all done an sat down outside the Queens by 9pm : )
See you on the water soon

I spent my 3 months RAF officers trainign course at Jurby. During that time I was able to ride my 500cc Norton Dominator all round the island, At the week ends we would drive down to Douglas to attend the dinner/dances at the Majestic Do they still have the telephones on the tables ?? I have very happy recollections of the IOM - even the steam trains ?
