Adventure & Endurance

Saturday was a spectacular day...

...with a very early start, prep kit and eating a bowel of gruel with Katia, before she headed off to start her leg of the round the Island running race. Having supported her (and got the photo I'd lined up), back along the coast and return to Ballabrooie to kit up for the morning Coastering session...

...an absolutely stunning location, a great route for low level traversing, swimming and generally kicking off the weekend in style!! : )
Then straight over to Peel to join Kim and John already getting ready at Fenella beach for the afternoon

Sea Kayak Trip

Starting in the harbour to get used to the kayaks and get some time on the water, prior to heading out along the coast in the bright sunshine!!
Completing back at Fenella again, home to wash kit and over to the Western Swimming Pool to join George and Sam already coaching on the Stage 2 course of our...

 Junior Paddlesport

...followed by Stage 3 and adults Indoor Pool Courses.
All three stages ran well, and its great to see the enthusiasm in the young and more senior paddlers : )
Just time to head over to catch John completing the last stage of the relay race (he'd left the pool early to get to his start point) and cheer him home to finish at Peel 1 and half minutes before the deadline!!!
Well done the whole TEAM! : )

Sunday was an Adventure Club paddle in the morning from Douglas Harbour...

... a few of the folk still a little bit stiff from Saturday's running exertions then headed home whilst the rest stayed for the afternoon adventure...

Flotilla Carrying the Queens Baton

"The Queen's baton continues its tour of the Isle of Man ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014"
Catch you on the water soon : )
