New Navara for Adventurous Experiences

Sponsored by Athol Garage (1945) Ltd, I picked up the keys to our new navara at the Ballasalla showroom last week.

Building on our reputation for outstanding quality and reliability, means continously improving and upgrading our kit, equipment and practices, remaining proactive and staying ahead. Change is always with us, and the picture taken at Niarbyl last week will never be the same again...

Quotes from last week;

"Hi Keirron
On behalf of our group that you took kayaking on 10th May I want to say a big thank you for a brilliant afternoon.
We all had a fantastic time and didn't want the afternoon to end. Thank you so much for your patience, clear instructions and confidence in us all, proving that it is never too late to try something new.
We are all now kayaking converts and can't wait to go again. We will certainly recommend you to our friends and the next time we are in the IOM we'll be booking for a days adventure with you.
Many thanks again.
Helen"
"Hi Keirron

Just a quick note to say thanks for the pool course tonight.
I thought it was excellent and found the float exercise very beneficial, I could really feel the difference in the hip movement required.
Most of all I was thrilled to see how Nic got on and how excited he was about it on the way home.
It is a delight to see him so enthusiastic about something real for a change rather than computer games!

Looking forward to next week.

"We waited 2 years to find a date and weather that suited everyone, and the wait was well worth it! A fab day had by all, challenging nerves and adreneline a plenty! Thanks for a super day...next time - gorge walking (for the less vertigo inflicted of us)...
Michelle"

May in Bloom

St Johns Village - in the centre of the Isle of Man... absolutely breath taking!

Sunshine every day certainly brings out lots of smiles.
Theia is loving every minute of it :)
2010 is looking like a scorcher!
Anglesey Sea Kayak Symposium 2010
Adventurous Experiences staff head over as guest coaches to the SKUK symposium hosted by Nigel Dennis, every year. It is based in a perfect position to paddle 'The Stacks' - a series of headlands protuding out into strong tide, and the resulting tidal races and overfalls attract paddlers from all over the world. (I met coaches and students from 14 different countries during the festival).

Apart from paddling and coaching in a different environment, we were there to promote the Isle of Man Sea Kayak Symposium - held in the last weekend in September, every year.
This will be our 08th year of hosting the event, and judging from the predicted summer and interest at the Anglesey event, this year will be a cracker!

Watching the Climbers at Castell Helen sea cliff as we paddled beneath, nesting Guillimots and Razorbills (as well as a few other antics they were up to) and exploring the caves with a little bit of swell running...

Rough water pics (taken by onlookers) on the Sea Kayaking UK website.

Great fun, thanks for a terrific weekend!
