providing the perfect experience...

Gorge Scrambling
An exciting experience in a safe and challenging environment, attainable for anyone who feels the desire to get wet and have a laugh!

Climbing the mini-waterfalls and sliding down the natural shutes... amazing fun.

Back at home, Theia was also getting her excitement in, with introduction to moving bath water :)
No paddle strokes necessary!

Mid-week paddles continue, mostly relaxed explorations in nature, and the lads training regularly for their charity open crossing in July are showing steady improvement.

Coaching at all levels - adventure on the Isle of Man

Rock Climbing - for beginners

Bev & Mill booked for a Rock Cimbing session with us, having had very little previous experience.

So we started off with some basic footwork and easy bouldering around Peel Castle, increasing the gradient slowly and emphasising the use of the legs.
We then headed round to a few roped climbs, and selected one which suited their ability.
Warm and sunny, with a light sea breeze... pretty nice!

Sunday's Sea Kayak Training

Kicking off with a beginners and improvers session in the morning, we used a corner of the bay to practice strokes and edging before setting off along the coast.

Taking a break beneath the cliffs before heading back to the beach.

Some challenging conditions for this ability level, and everyone improved visibly during the trip.

The Intermediates headed for the Sound where thare was a easy flow running, perfect for the coaching session we had in mind.

With plenty of practice an different angles of breaking in and out of the current, we finished with wet skills, including a couple of re-entry and rolls!

The evening session was for the lads training for the open crossing to Scotland at the beginning of July.

We used the ample conditions to enhance their forward paddling - particularly the delivery of power, and also managed some breathtaking views, and a sorte through the cave.

The sea mist and low cloud which had been intermittant througout the day was peeling back from Bradda head as we paddled home..

Another tremendous day on the water!

Staff Training

Evening rock climbing session at Aldrick - warm, scenic and plenty of positive holds...
There was a great feel to the rock and John, Becca and Neil were on fine form.

As hoped for, we caught up with Dougie & Beef, who had been climbing one of their new routes on the sea cliffs nearby, and they flashed a few handy moves up the crag before offering me the opportunity to follow :)

As timing would have it, sunset was on the way and it was soon time to drop the ropes and head back down the coastal path...

mid week sea kayak trips from Douglas

Mid-week full day trip
A superb day on the water off today, paddling the East coast South from Douglas - putting in opposite the Queens Hotel on the prom.
Lunch on a secluded beach, relaxing in the sunshine, before returning in time to prepare for the evening paddle...
Gerry and George are both paddling strong and the pace opened up nicely along the way.

Evening Paddle
The evening family paddle left the beach just after 6pm, Adventure Club regulars and their young paddlers to be... Tim was also celebrating his birthday!

Young Adventurers loved the experience, and paddled well given they were 10 and 13 yrs.

Charity Effort
Paddy, Ros and Cookie have started training for their charity sea kayak crossing of the Irish Sea this summer.

Their training started with us last week, with two of the lads complete novices.

More on this as the time approaches...

Birthday Blog!

Adventurous Experiences Ltd celebrated entering its 07th year of delivering outstanding customer service and unforgettable adventurous experiences on the Isle of Man...

...with an Adventure Club full day paddle, from Peel yesterday.

A stunning, hot day, breaking from lunch at the White Beach, where a BBQ was soon underway :)

The group then split into two, with those who wanted to continue the relaxed pace finishing at Port Erin Beach, and the other team who finished at Port St Mary!

Saw our first Puffin's this year off Peel, denoting the start of the summer season and Basking Shark sightings usually follow within the month... a very special day!

Round the back of Bradda Head, towards the end of our day, we passed Dougie & Beef working on one of their newer rock climbing routes.
It looked a little steep for me, but they enjoy a challenge!

Coasteering
Group session involving some cave exploration, fun and frolics and exciting jumps...

Phil Clegg was over on the Island - with a job role involving all sorts...

'Young Adventurers'
Niarbyl was warm and sheltered for the young adventurers paddle.
Always plenty of laughs, with time to relax and play on the beach.
The girls are paddling well, and getting stronger every session :)

Sunday Paddles
A few pics from last Sunday... spectacular.

Our regular trips and coaching sessions running year round on a Sunday.
A great social and place to meet new friends - also attended by many members of the Adventure Club.
