Coasteering

A stunning afternoon Coasteering session out from Peel on the West coast of the Isle of Man on Tuesday,
with the Youth Scholarship team - a great way to celebrate their 50th training session (TR 50).
Absolute clarity and calm on the route made for exceptional photo's too : )
Looking forward to many more days like this through the summer!
Catch you soon

Mylchreests Race Training

Heading out from Peel Fenella Beach, Mylchreests 'A' and 'B' teams kayakers for the Isle of Man Adventure Race completed their pre-race training and safety session this evening.
Led by Sam Murphy - head of operations until Keirron and George return, the paddlers visibly improved during the session, and enjoyed a fantastic evening paddle
Every team who confirms entry before the end of the month gets a complementary training session, increasing safety and enjoyment of the Adventure Race itself.
Fingers crossed for weather like this : )

Guillemots & Razorbills

Spotted a few pairs of Black Guillemots in Perwick Bay on Sunday...
as we headed along the South coast, then through Sugarloaf Caves, and to view the magnificent Sugarloaf Rock, an amazing sight with rows upon rows of guillemots and razorbills beginning to nest.
Funny little characters in flight, we're very lucky to have these summer visitors.
Jim and Mia joined us on the water too, as part of their Discover Sea Kayaking course.
Great to see you both and share such a relaxed afternoon.

Congratulations to Sam Murphy who passed his BCU 5 Star Leadership Award over the weekend.
Sam  is already Operations and Senior Coach at Adventurous Experiences, and is leading the coaching team on the Isle of Man whilst i'm away, taking over from me tomorrow when he gets back : )

Gorge Scrambling

Saturday's adventure Gorge Scrambling involved a stag party over on the Isle of Man for the weekend, looking for something a bit different and up for a challenge!
As with all our experiences, each can be tailored to the group's ability and desire...
...so we incorporated a few challenges along the way, using the stunning backdrop of one of our National Glens and its many natural features...
Kim excelled himself with the photography! Well done lad : )
and Alice joined us for the exciting afternoon's gorge scramble.
Brilliant to work with such a team, and plenty of laughter all round.
Keirron

Hi Keirron
Just wanted to say thanks for yesterday. Everyone really enjoyed it and we all had a great time. Everyone said they'd do it again so cheers for that. If you get any photos from the day you can send them to me on this address and I'll forward them on to the others.
Thanks again
Colin

Farewell Overnight Camp

The Adventure Club farewell overnight camp for me and George last night had luck with the weather, in addition to all the good wishes of the Club for our journey ahead...
A swim in sea seemed appropriate, and a little bracing...
at one of our favourite family and 'Classic Adventurous Experience' locations
folk kept arriving as the evening set in, some interesting camping options in mind...
It really was fantastic to see everyone who could make it, even those who had to head off to other parties, or engagements : ) the early hours were seen in nicely...
We'll be thinking of you all as we head off to the Aleutian's next weekend.
Looking forward to the Club paddle tomorrow.

ps. Thanks very much Rach for organising the BBQ & camp, and Jan for the delightful cake!

"Finally reached Westminster Bridge at 7.45am to large crowds and cheering, with a total paddling time of 29 hours 49 minutes!"

"This was probably one of the hardest things I have ever done and the finish was very emotional for me, especially after last year’s failure..."

Chris is now stoked for his Isle of Man to Monaco paddle this Summer.

   Best of Luck Chris!

Happy Birthday Paddle for all!

Adventurous Experiences celebrated eight years of delivering Unforgettable Adventurous Experiences on the Isle of Man today, with a junior Birthday paddle off Niarbyl.

Great fun to be on the water with, the young lads didn't mind a bit of splashing about...
In fact they couldn't wait to play in the waterfall at the White Beach!

Clear blue skies and the sun beaming down, they were in their element!
Then it was back to the beach, sheltered by the 'tail of rocks' and a quick carry up of the kayaks.
We look forward to seeing you guys on and in the water more this summer : )
