Blasket Isles adventure

A few pics from the Blaskets, West coast of Ireland. George & Keirron headed out for a week as part of their Aleutian Isles 2012 Expedition Training...
First view of the Blaskets - a little bit windy we wondered...?
Next day, hard work to get out there, but once under shelter of the islands...
 ...absolutely stunning!!
Observing the massive seal colony from the sandy cliffs above, WOW!!!
The seals stayed at the waterline, even with different sea conditions. (We enjoyed everything from wild, gusty and torrentail rain, to hot, sunny and almost perfect calm, in the space of a day.)
Scenic walk in the evening, the Great Blasket has well kept footpaths loops to explore the whole coastline from above... having already paddled the more exciting 'route' right round earlier that day. : )
Unpredictable, sporadic changing conditions gave an interesting return to the Dingle Peninsula,
and an interesting landing, with nothing broken or lost!
We'll be back sometime, to explore some more.
Heading up the West Coast to find some more fun locations.
