Youth Scholarship - TR. 51

Youth Scholarship - Development and Leadership Program
Coaching People, Changing Perspectives

The team had their final 'in the water' sea kayaking training session, off Contrary Head, Peel, on the west coast of the Isle of Man, on Wednesday early evening (training session 51).

VIDEO clip to follow

Training session 50!

Rescues and wet skills dominated the session.
Wearing our 5mm steamer wetsuits, typically reserved for our 'combined rock and water' adventures, the folk spent time rescuing each other, and completing self-rescues, off Peel Castle.

Janet Taylor (far left) one of our Coaching Team at Adventurous Experiences, and one of the leaders for the expedition itself.

The evening parents meeting began with the team explaining how their 3 weeks on the expedition would be spent (camping every night whilst Sea Kayaking and Mountain Walking) with real wilderness experience and hoped for local wildlife encounters.

Our Youth Scholarship - Development and Leadership Program is Delivered by Adventurous Experiences, in association with Conister Bank.

Final meeting this coming Wednesday, with a full expedition kit inspection.
We leave early Friday morning : )
Looking forward to it!
