Coasteering for excitement...

A brilliant Coasteering session this afternoon around Peel Castle. Five friends (some of whom experienced an exploratory 'Caves & Coast' route with us last time) and a visitor to the Island, all wanted an Unforgettable, Adventurous Experience...
Looking forward to leading you on the next adventure, a stunning route on the South Coast : )

A few words from the teams who won the award for 'most fun'

"...the adventure race was absolutely .... trying to think of adequate adjective ... unbelievable. Well worth the effort travelling 15 guys in a minibus with substandard kit from the south of England for an unforgettable experience. Simon ... and little bro put a superb effort into organising everything and logistically placing each athlete (very loose term!) into firstly teams then events. Opening night meeting was an awkward moment for the more concientious amongst us, with very embarrassing questions coming about by reality of what we had let ourselves in for. Never mind, our preparation was spot on, ... this was just the beginning - I won't bore you with the rest, all I would say is... well done guys and sponsors for organising a tremendous event (you are right we did have the most fun), well done all the boys who attended the trip for me, I hope you all think it was as enjoyable a I thought it was - you all made it for me, thank you to Ascot Hotel in Douglas for your hosopitality - I hope the Berkshire Cheese Tastting Society were well behaved! A big thank you to Si for a very novel adventure and thank you the Isle of Man for providing a great back-drop and great hospitality for the whole event. You wouldn't believe most of the boys want to come back next year to better their times and have promised to prepare slightly better!

the right clothing and equipment

There have been so many superb sessions and adventures in the past few weeks, with very little 'off the water' time to have a look at the photos. As our motto states;

Experience it NOW... Live life to the full... share the MEMORIES later.

One theme which does keep running through every session is that 'whatever the weather, you need the right clothing and equipment to keep you safe and warm during your adventures'. That is why we invest so much in this area.
http://www.adventurousexperiences.com/shop.aspx
is the section of the site dedicated to kit and equipment. We're proud to display the equipment you'll be using as a student, (visit our our How to Book and Calendar sections online to book & view forthcoming sessions).

This section also hosts Kelvins Tackle Shop - fishing & kayaking supplies, everything you need to purchase to have your own adventures, fishing rods and tackle and kayaks and kayaking kit.
Kayaking on the Isle of Man (whether fishing, journeying, surfing or just family time in the bay) is an increasing trend, and finding out the right information before you start makes the experience a safer and enjoyable one.

Adventurous Experiences has a team of experienced, qualified professional coaches, whose judgement and dedication to customer service is the result of the dynamic individuals within that team and an effective coach development program.

Blasket Isles adventure

A few pics from the Blaskets, West coast of Ireland. George & Keirron headed out for a week as part of their Aleutian Isles 2012 Expedition Training...
First view of the Blaskets - a little bit windy we wondered...?
Next day, hard work to get out there, but once under shelter of the islands...
 ...absolutely stunning!!
Observing the massive seal colony from the sandy cliffs above, WOW!!!
The seals stayed at the waterline, even with different sea conditions. (We enjoyed everything from wild, gusty and torrentail rain, to hot, sunny and almost perfect calm, in the space of a day.)
Scenic walk in the evening, the Great Blasket has well kept footpaths loops to explore the whole coastline from above... having already paddled the more exciting 'route' right round earlier that day. : )
Unpredictable, sporadic changing conditions gave an interesting return to the Dingle Peninsula,
and an interesting landing, with nothing broken or lost!
We'll be back sometime, to explore some more.
Heading up the West Coast to find some more fun locations.

Queenie Festival Weekend

Queenie Festival beach party at Port Erin

Our paddle on Friday with Aston International finished off with a delicious BBQ at Fenella, in the sun.

Sunday Queenie Festival at Port St Mary
On both the morning and afternoon Sea Kayak Trips we paddled round to Sugar Loaf and explored the caves, just under the Chasms. As always at this time of year, the stacks were packed with nesting bird life, which we admired quietly from our kayaks.

We ran Try Sea Kayaking Sessions again this year, with all the proceeds going to the RNLI.
If you missed out last weekend, we'll be at Port Erin Lifeboat Race Races on 21st August.
See you there!

Looking forward to seeing the new paddlers from this weekend again soon :)

Keirron
& the Adventurous Experience's Team

"Hi Keirron, i wanted to say a big "thanks" for our great kayaking experience today, I was really impressed by your team and didn't expect so many coaches to look after us. I was particularly impressed as one of them (Janet) stuck with Charlie and watched over him allowing me not to worry about him but to relax and enjoy the experience. On the way home the boys were great helping him out giving him a tow!
We will certainly book again, many thanks, Fiona, Ben and Charlie Harcourt"
